Rijnlands presents: A Midsummer Night’s Dream
Students from the Rijnlands Lyceum Oegstgeest are performing the musical theater production A Midsummer Night’s Dream: a modern version of Shakespeare’s most popular comedy, with a live orchestra. A story full of music, magic, love and misunderstandings. In this contemporary version, a dating show gets completely out of hand, studio staff become victims of a cruel prank, and in the fairy kingdom, a severe marital crisis threatens the royal family. As a result, the fairies risk losing control over nature.
More than 80 talented students from the RLO have been working together over the past few months on this modern and hilarious adaptation of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The students are also responsible for the costumes, set design, lighting, and sound. Just like our school, the performance is bilingual (Dutch-English). It’s a show you won’t want to miss!
The performances will take place on February 14, 15, 18, and 19 at 7:30 PM, and on Sunday, February 16, there will be a matinee starting at 3:00 PM.
Tickets are €8 each and as from February 1st they can be ordered online. Reserved seating is not available. There will be an intermission during the performance.
This will be an unforgettable evening full of surprises for everyone aged 11 and above!
