The ROS film made in 1968: from the old temporary barracks to the new building.

supervised by cinematographer Nico Crama:

In November 2010, Mr Crama asked whether the school was still in possession of this film. He wrote to us after hearing that the film would be shown on the revamped ROStalgia site: “Invited by the principal at the time, Mr. Naeff, I taught film classes at the Rijnlands Lyceum from 1962 to 1971. The idea of these lessons was that students would be instructed to capture the construction of their new school on film themselves. They received some theoretical knowledge about the medium of film and the camera was brought out at regular times to practice filmmaking in person.”

Harm Bosscher, a Maths teacher and vice principal from 1958 to 1977, remembered many names of people who had appeared in the film. This was evident from the conversation between Nico Crama and Harm Bosscher at the last reunion in July 2016 (see photo right). We are very grateful to Harm for his report of this film with lots of background information about the school.

The film was made at the time by students from class B5a (1963-1964), among others.
