Reunion Programme (9th April 2011)
Some questions were asked about the reunion programme. From experiences five years ago, we have decided not to have a set programme.
For previous reunions we had organised acts, lessons, lectures and a gig of the school band. Most attendants, however, indicated they would prefer a looser set up to the day. The main reason for attending a reunion is to meet old friends, to chat, to check how boring your favourite teacher has become - or still is!! - and, let’s be frank, to see your long lost lover again.
The entrance and hall of the school have undergone a major renovation, resulting in more light and space. One wall will be reserved to be our Wall of Fame. We hope that everyone at the reunion makes use of the opportunity to write their name and graduation year on this wall.
Consequently, we offer every opportunity to meet again. There will be an exhibition with pictures, posters, books, video’s, yearbooks etc. Teachers who used to work at Het Rijnlands (hopefully a lot will attend) will assemble in the Canteen/Orangerie and will love to have a chat with you. Obviously, you have every opportunity to check out the new parts of the building. And of course there will be a photographer and at set times group pictures will be made.
If you think that a reunion lasting for 5 hours is too much, you may decide to arrive later or leave earlier (you know that there are some excellent restaurants in the area and let’s not forget about the Gouwe!).
